Job Description for Ola Jobs 2021
You’ll be doing:
1. Maintaining and supporting production systems and their associated infrastructure and tools.
2. Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand the product/technical roadmap and managing impact on the operability of systems.
3. Providing in-depth and timely solutions to complex technical issues, related to both site-up issues and product improvements.
4. Maintaining and improving the availability, performance, scalability, and efficiency of the services by implementing monitoring, automation, redundancy, capacity, and business continuity planning.
5. Working closely with Quality and Release Engineering teams to facilitate release pipelines and enable continuous deployment.
6. Participating in an on-call pager rotation.
You’ll need to have:
You are self-driven with experience in the design and implementation of complex and distributed systems, particularly in building the high-performance backend and/or frontend frameworks. You have a passion for seeking engineering excellence and adopting new technologies. You are not afraid to drive for success by working with cross-functional teams.
1. Experience with backend engineering work and can create and maintain RESTful services.
2. Experienced with micro-services architecture software as a service.
2. 2+ years of relevant work experience with Java, NodeJS, AngularJS.
3. Good knowledge of MySQL, MongoDB database, and clustering concepts.
6. Experience in working with Redis.
4. Knowledge of Web Service such as Apache and networking concepts (DNS, TCP).
5. Knowledge of Scripting (Perl, Python, Ruby) and Unix utilities and tools.
6. Knowledge of monitoring and alerting best practices.
7. Deployment and Monitoring knowledge of cloud services such as AWS.
