Job Description for Saviynt Jobs 2021
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will help in giving technical support for laptops, printer problems, basic network troubleshooting & server support issues from a technical standpoint. From a functional standpoint, you will ensure to deliver a superior client experience by understanding and adapting to the needs of internal IT clients. You will help in managing escalations and technical resolution for end-point platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Technical Skills:
- Addressing incidents faced by the users in their use of laptops
- Supporting users by providing a timely and clear indication of the nature of the problem, the resolution or possible work-around
- Provide support (including Installation, configuration and fine-tuning support) for new Desktops / Laptops which shall include-
- OS (Operating system) configuration
- Power On Test
- Verification of Hardware configuration
- Configuring MS Office Applications
- Setup of Client-side applications
- Provide support for IMAC (IMAC – Installation, Move, Add and Change) for End user Desktop/Laptop and Peripherals, Standalone and LAN attached PC/Mac
- Configuring printers and resolve printer problems of the users at the office locations
- Format disks, partition and reinstallation of laptop OS/Applications, OS Imaging
- Provide support on installation and basic troubleshooting for endpoint applications
- Provide support for patch upgradation on laptops
- LAN/Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting in endpoint
- Network/VPN connectivity troubleshooting
- Back-up management – facilitate the data migration from one machine to the other, in the process make sure the data is safe
- New Project Support
- Maintaining and troubleshooting active directory
- Creating VM’s on Cloud platform based on the requirements
- Managing and maintaining applications owned by IT
Vendor Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for upgrade of any hardware component
- Provide diagnosis of hardware or software issues and work with OEM Vendor for getting them resolved
Asset Management:
- Coordinate asset movement/shipment across all locationsManage & track asset inventory and software license usage
- Provide logistic support for laptop/hardware shipment
- Provide necessary reports to management for hardware and software assets
Knowledge Management:
- Create SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for frequent support issues; create support manuals
- Create self-help documentation for the end users
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions for the extended team
