ABOUT CSIR-CIMFR
CSIR-CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF MINING AND FUEL RESEARCH (CIMFR)DHANBAD, a constituent laboratory under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi aims to provide R&D inputs for the entire coal-energy chain encompassing exploration, mining, and utilization. The laboratory also strives to develop mineral based industries to reach the targeted production for the country’s energy security and growth with high standards of safety, economy, and cleaner environment. In view of the National Missions recently declared by the Government of India, CIMFR has re-aligned its vision, missions, and policies and also redefined targets for short and long terms. This would promote rapid sustainable national techno-economic growth with equal emphasis on self-sustenance. CSIR-CIMFR is located in the town of Dhanbad, known as the coal capital of India of Jharkhand state of India. It is strategically situated in the Damodar basin of the Eastern part of the country which is endowed with rich coal deposits and hosts several large mineral-based industries.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CSIR-CIMFR RECRUITMENT 2021
Candidates applying for the Project Assistant, Project Associate-I & Project Associate-II post must possess the following desired qualification:
- Project Assistant:
- Essential Qualification with minimum 60% marks
- Bachelor of Science with/or Honours in Geology
- Bachelor of Science with/or Honours in Chemistry
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Mining Engineering
- Diploma in Computer Science / IT
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering.
- Project Associate-I:
- Essential Qualification with minimum 65% marks
- B.E/B.Tech in Civil
- B.E/B.Tech in Mining Engineering
- Post Graduate Master Degree. in Geology/ Applied Geology
- Post Graduate Master Degree in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry
- B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science / IT
- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Project Associate-II:
- B.E/B.Tech in Mining Engineering with essential experience of 02 years in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organisations and Scientific activities and Services
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer and MS Office, Blasting Software
- B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology with essential experience of 02 years in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organisations and Scientific activities and Services

AGE LIMIT
The upper age limit is:
- Project Assistant: Maximum 50 Years
- Project Associate-I: Maximum 35 Years
- Project Associate-II: Maximum 35 Years
