Job Description for Danaher Jobs 2021
- Collect electrical and electromechanical components data from manufactures and verify part life cycle.BOM scrubbing and roadmap analysis
- Contact suppliers for the RoHS certificates and if any clarifications are required further
- Handle obsolescence and component Lifecycle status (Active, NRND, EOL, Obsolete)
- Review and analyze Product Change Notices (PCN) from a supplier and identify impact to the product
- Suggest alternate parts using Form Fit Function (FFF) and value engineering techniques
- Support change-management process (ECR/ECO) through PLM tool
- Work closely with global partners such as product teams, sourc ing, etc
- Work on standardization of parts. Parameter mapping and technology trends. Review & verify identified components with SMEs.
- Prepare component selection criteria/guideline/manual. Build the part library with approved components.
Skills Required
- Experience in understanding electrical designs and obsolescence management
- Experience in interpreting EBOM, understand Engineering drawings & specifications
- Experience in identifying FFF (Form-Fit-Function), alternate parts & Mating MPN’s for Connectors
- Experience in BOM Manager tools: IHS Markit, SiliconExpert etc.
- Hands-on experience with schematic tool OrCAD Capture and layout tool and OrCAD PCB Designer
- Good understanding of RoHS regulations
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in Analog and Digital circuit board designing using CAD tools will be preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel macros, VBA programming, databases (MYSQL, MS Access)
- Experience in the life sciences domain is an added advantage

- Minimum of 2 to 6 years of industrial experience in Component Engineering & PCB design
