Essential Requirements
- Must have an understanding of virtualization technologies e.g., VMWare ESX, NSX, vSphere 6.5/7.0, vRealize Operations. This includes installation, configuration, and updating ESXi hosts on a regular basis
- Proficiency with VMWare networking and storage solutions: Distributed virtual switches, vSAN, NSX-T, DNS, TCP/IP
- Experience with scripting and automation including PowerShell/PowerCLI or similar tools
- Prior experience as a Systems Administrator, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Technology Consultant a plus
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College or equivalent on the job experience, with at least 1-3 years of related work experience
Job Description:
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.
You will:
• As part of a team, you will help to review and set requirements, as well as build, tune, and maintain on-prem VMware Cloud infrastructure in an enterprise global engineering environment
• You will take an active role in maintaining system build documentation, tuning system performance, troubleshooting, and installing system-wide software to maintain current and future standards for the environment
• You will assist support teams in troubleshooting issues as required
• You will help to monitor the health of the platforms and make recommendations for additional allocation of computing and storage resources to meet forecasted demand
