Job Description

Responsibilities
- The primary role of the candidate is to design, develop, and support one or more components of the Position Control Engineering.
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered business applications based on object oriented design.
- Interface with internal clients/end users and other development teams
- Participate in the full SDLC for software written with Java, SQL, RESTful web services, RMI, JMS messaging and web UIs.
Required Skills and Qualification
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with object oriented programming in Java, SQL
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in test driven development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building streaming data processing and ingestion pipelines
- Experience with JMS (messaging), AngularJS, Unix shell scripting is a plus.
- Prior experience building systems used by multiple technical and non-technical teams
- Financial market knowledge a plus (but not required).
