13. Aptitude

  • Book Name: Quantitative Aptitude, R.S. Aggarwal
  • Book Name: A Modern Approach To Verbal And Non-Verbal Reasoning, R.S. Aggarwal

Both books above are the standard books that everyone recommends to go through. The reason behind this is, it consists of a large number of questions to practice. You will find a wide variety of questions in these books. Practicing these many questions will help you to understand all the tricks and the concept involved, which will help you in getting those 15 marks.

There’s another book, which I would like to recommend General Aptitude by Made Easy Publication(for Quants only). This book is also the best for quants. R.S. Aggarwal is a good book but consists of a lot of tricks and too much information, which confuses students if you are starting aptitude one month before the exam. General Aptitude by Made Easy Publication provides, point-to-point explanation and each chapter explains all the formulas along with a solved example. The problems range from low difficulty to high and have sufficient examples to practice. So, if you have less number of days, then I recommend this for quants.

For GATE Mechanical Level Problems, it is advisable to refer R.S.Aggarwal, and likewise for concepts & formulas Made Easy is good.
