The typical average salary of an early web developer (freshers) in India is ₹3.5 Lakh per annum, with companies like:

Well, this was for a job, but if you thinking of becoming a freelancer, you can charge ₹5k to ₹1Lakh per project(website) depending on the client’s requirement.

Why demand is increasing?

After 2012, dynamic websites have started to grow. The shifting of a companies business model to a dynamic & more user-based business model has increased.

Startups or businesses want web applications, which can provide services by analyzing their audience to gain trust & increase leads by increasing the user experience of their clients. Hence, demand for skilled coders, who can create such dynamic platforms has increased sharply.

What is a Web Application? What is it’s scope?

You might have used Amazon, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Docs, etc. Also, you have read blogs on different blogging or information provider websites.

What difference did you saw? Isn’t Amazon/Gsuite providing you some sort of service with a well-established dashboard to work upon? Where you can do changes in your way, like a search for a product, create a document or send an email.

But on the other hand, can you do the same thing on a blogging website? No, right.

So this is the difference between a Web Application based website and a normal blogging website.

Sites, like Amazon, Gsuite sites are like web applications, which are robust, dynamic, user responsive, & provides a service.

Due to its dynamic and robust properties, web applications are on the high rise, and many companies, startups, and even single individuals are paying good money to experts who can create such platforms for them.

No matter, if you work for a company or are a freelancer, the scope, the exposure, and the pay will be very good. This sector will grow more as new robust programming languages will come in the future.

Then why are not web developers hired if the demand is increasing?

The main reason is the skills and hands-on experience. Technology will never wait for anyone. Someone out there is always thinking of how to improve it further, how to make it faster, with a better user experience, less space consumption, etc. And due to this, new programming languages & concepts are launched every day.

But if you are still stuck on the old basics of HTML, CSS, PHP, JS, then my friend, you have a long way ahead.

If you want to capture this market segment, you need to be skilled and knowledgeable of new core languages, frameworks, software, and other technicalities.

And these skills are what many new coders lack.

So, what to do? How can I add more skills to my pocket?

Learn and Practice! Always remember these 2 words. Don’t worry, even though you are a fresher or an experienced person, who is not good with the basics.

You can always find platforms like YouTube, Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare, etc. where you can find recorded videos to learn these skills.

But, generally I don’t prefer recorded videos because

  1. I cannot ask questions
  2. It doesn’t give me the feel
  3. Pausing a video and practicing is not what I am fond of
  4. Mentor Guidance not present

But if you are looking for a Live, Mentor Based, Q&A session training course with in-depth training on topics like

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax
  • Complete Bootstrap 4 Framework walkthrough with responsiveness
  • Database design, logics, PHP, server site request handling, APIs
  • MVC Structures
  • Codeigniter framework
  • E-Commerce Application with Admin Panel
  • Payment Gateway
  • MEAN and MERN Development, AWS, Data visualization
