ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- SDET is responsible for conducting a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses with full competency to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
- Design, draft and revise complex test plans and scripts.
- Execute tests according to plans and scripts, document problems in defect tracking system, and retest software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
- Testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Use actual devices or simulator to verify end-user client application functionality.
- Create test execution/release readiness reports for use in determining when software is ready to release.
- Actively support backend software deployments with software and DevOps engineers.
- Actively participate in mobile device application release and monitoring.
- Work closely with Business Intelligence team to monitor data and event pipelines.
- Actively participate in scrum/agile meetings providing clear status of assigned work.
- Work closely with business and operations team members, as well as the development team in deriving feature sets to make sure that the product backlog items are well written and serve the intended functionality to meet the business requirements.
- Provide input from a testing perspective to the release schedules and project plans, by estimating efforts, identifying risks, and understanding the interdependencies of the end to end systems.
- Identify, recommend and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Experience in wide range of test frameworks.
- Experience in UX / UI testing for web-based applications, native Android and mobile web-based applications.
- Experience in Integration testing of APIs; performance testing.
- Proficient in Java or other scripting languages like JavaScript or Python.
- Experience working with Android development tools for debugging native applications such as Android Studio, logcat, terminal, etc.
- Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, Selenium, Protractor, Appium.
- Proficiency in SQL skills for data validations (e.g., CosmosDB, Cassandra, Snowflake).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
- Must be a proven performer and team player that enjoy challenging assignments in a high-energy, fast growing workplace.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field plus 1-2 years related work experience.
