MobiKwik is an Indian company founded in 2009 that provides a mobile phone-based payment system and digital wallet. Customers add money to an online wallet that can be used for payments. In 2013 the Reserve Bank of India authorized the company’s use of the MobiKwik wallet, and in May 2016 the company began providing small loans to consumers as part of its service. The company launched its MobiKwik Lite mobile app in November 2016, designed for users of older 2G mobile networks and for those in areas with poor internet connectivity. In November 2016, the company reported having 1.5 million merchants using its service and a user base of 55 million customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
MobiKwik is looking for a self-motivated data scientist to join our Data Science team. As a data scientist, you will be able to work with large data set generated by millions of MobiKwik users. Your work engagement will directly influence critical operations such as lending, marketing, product management, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple stakeholders (business, marketing, and product teams) to understand requirements, challenges, and opportunities of existing systems
- Use your expertise in NLP/data science to propose a solution which will add value to the business
- Build machine learning models to add efficiency to the business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related field
- 4 years of hands-on experience preferably in Python
- Strong text parsing experience in Python is mandatory (exposure to SMS parsing will be a big plus)-
NLP Concepts- WordNet, POS Tagging, Lemmatization, NP Chunking, Syntactic and Dependency Parsing, Coreference Resolution, Clustering, Categorization, Topic Analysis, Summarization, NER - Web scraping experience will be a plus
- Extensive experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL
- Experience in creating end-to-end data and process pipeline will be a plus
- Experience in other data science algorithms will be a plus
- Ability to communicate results with the leadership teams in a structured and coherent manner.
