JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for Software Engineers to build out features, design and implement APIs, and improve the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Contribute to the development of APIs and products while working with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Support and Product, Quality, Security and Platform Engineer
- Quickly build functional prototypes to solve internal and external use-cases
- Contribute to the multitude of open-source libraries from Postman
- Contributing to the product directly through Postman desktop application
- Perform Peer Code Reviews
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- You have 4-10 years of experience building applications in high level programming languages – Javascript, Python or Go, and modern UI frameworks like React.js. We code primarily in Javascript, so you’ll be excited to either ramp up on that or continue building awesome things with it.
- You have at 1+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, and have experience building search features like auto-completion and custom ranking of search results.
- Experience in Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, Ranking Systems or Recommendation Systems is a plus.
- You’re passionate about working with different tools and technologies to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- You possess strong Computer Science fundamentals – Algorithms, Networking and Operating Systems, and are familiar with various JavaScript tools, frameworks, and development practices.
- You write testable, maintainable code that’s easy to understand.
- You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers.
- You have curiosity about how things work.
