JOB DESCRIPTION
- Work cross-functionally integrating, testing and debugging issues with existing system-wide software.
- Evaluate and integrate or develop solutions for F5 environments for any security vulnerabilities as reported by RedHat.
- Design and implement tools, processes and software to streamline the upgrade of the base software.
- Document software designs and unit tests
- Serve as a technical guide to junior members of the engineering development staff
SKILL-SET REQUIRED
- Proficient in Linux/UNIX Operating Systems, System Programming, Linux Internal
- Understanding of Linux/UNIX packaging systems, preferably RPM
- Linux/UNIX development experience, systems administration knowledge desired
Networking exposure a plus (e.g. TCP, HTTP, SSL)
- Strong Knowledge of C/C++
- Experience using scripting languages Python, Perl, TLC and configuration management tools (Git, perforce)
- Experience with Container-based architecture and deployments (Docker, Ansible). Orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Familiarity with encryption keys and authentication methods
- Familiarity Linux software installation processes and procedures
- Knowledge of workflow tools (e.g. Atlassian)
- Ability to operate in an agile and dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and highly ambitious
- Creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Excellent teamwork and people skills
- Requires BSEE/CS or MSEE/CS desirable
