Microsoft has officially announced that its “Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty” training and certification course is available online – for FREE – at BUILD 2020. If you are a developer craving to learn and work with other data engineers, then this is the right Microsoft Free course for you.
The training platform was first available in beta in the month of January 2020, and now it is officially available on Microsoft Learn. The Learning & Certification will surely boast your CV during Job Interviews.
What To Learn?
As an Azure IoT Developer, you will work with Data Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure successful business integration.
You will have to manage the device lifecycle – setup, configuration, and maintenance – using cloud services and other tools.
You will be incharge of the design section, wherein you will have to implement designs for Azure IoT solutions including device topology, connectivity, debugging, and security, as well as solutions to manage, monitor, and transform IoT-related data pipelines.
Lastly, you will also deploy the Azure IoT Edge components and configure device networking on the edge.
But There’s A Catch!
You will get to learn and implement so many things, which will surely improve your skills and help you develop yourself into a Microsoft Azure IoT Developer.
But there’s a catch if you are signing up for this course, then is stated that you must have some experience implementing the Azure services that form an IoT solution, including data storage options, data analysis, data processing, and platform-as-a-service options.
In this role, you must be able to recognize Azure IoT service configuration settings, that means you will have to be familiar with the code portions of an IoT solution in atleast one of the Azure-supported language, i.e., C#, Note, C, or Python.
But There Are Perks Too !!
The Azure Certification will help you gain a lot of experience from many data engineer experts.
Not only the certification will help you advance your career and help you earn recognition but also will validate your technical knowledge and ability in current and future industry job-roles with Microsoft Azure Certifications.
Also, “Azure IoT central is gaining several new features, including cross-service integration with Azure Sphere and IoT Edge”, announced by Microsoft.
Many improvements are also scheduled for the platform like Indoor Mapping(to model floorplans of private spaces), New Operating System capabilities(to reduce the OS Size by 40% – producing more computing power).
