Job Profile:
JSW Ventures is seeking a curious and driven individual to join the investment team as an intern. The individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of investment opportunities, following key trends in various sub-sectors of technology, identify sectors/themes of interest and analyze the product and tech capabilities of potential investments on an absolute as well as relative (vis-à-vis the competition) basis
Market Research:
- Identify the trends in various sectors through primary and secondary research and build a steady pipeline of new prospects basis the investment thesis
- Perform on ground market research on industries, sectors on the lines of key players, industry trends, industry size, product and competitive moats, etc
- Identify any new investment opportunities based on market and competitor analysis, attend industry conferences, meetups, hackathons, dev days and other such events

Prospects Building
- Screen the market and source new early stage investments relevant to the fund’s investment scope, including meeting founders and entrepreneurs with the investment team
- Source investment opportunities, both directly and through a network of contacts at universities, VCs, incubators, accelerators, etc
Analysis & Investment Execution
- Perform analysis on investment opportunities (market and competitive analysis, product and technology analysis, business plan, etc.)
- Map out the competitive landscape, domestically and globally, for companies providing similar products / services
- Perform diligence on the tech capabilities and devise the road-map required to sustain the competitive advantage, if any
Educational Background and Work Experience
- Individual with at least 1-2 yrs of experience or an MBA
- Willing to work out of Mumbai office for 6 months
- Some experience within the technology industry
