What is the best thing in Engineering? According to me, it is the projects, right? Been an Electronics Engineer, building projects is the best thing as we get to build with our own two hands. But the issue is, what project idea should I choose? Well don’t worry, I have listed some of the Best & Latest Top 21 Electronics Engineering Project Ideas for you. Below you can find the list of top 21 project ideas for Electronics Engineering Students.

So lets get started:

Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students: Turn Your Raspberry PI Zero into A VPN Server with OpenVPN

Rasberry Pie Project - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

When I think about a VPN service, the first thing that comes to my mind is all subscription-based plans. Also, there are numerous ads that YouTube or other OTT platforms always pours on us. However, those services are not the only way through which you can encrypt your online activity. One-click VPN services are excellent if you are looking for an out of the box solution, but that service comes with a cost and putting the trust of your valuable data to these servers is not safe. So as a cheaper, and safer dilemma, I like to use the popular Raspberry PI zero with PIVPN to make my VPN server and in this tutorial, I will tell you how you can set up your OpenVPN server on a Raspberry PI very simply.

Gas Leakage Detection with Buzzer System using Atmega

Gas Detection System - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

Gas leaks within the home are usually the results of poorly fitted, badly maintained or faulty appliances like boilers and cookers. There are several deaths per year linked to gas leaks in addition to hundreds of hospitalizations, gas safety is something every household should take seriously. To reduce this accident, we can detect the gas leakage using the MQ5 gas sensor. Here we will be making a project to detect excess gas.

Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students: Cough Detection System using Arduino 33 BLE Sense and Edge Impulse – ML

COVID19 is really a historic pandemic affecting the whole world very badly and people are building a lot of new devices to fight with it. The project is a cough detection system, which can distinguish between noise and cough sound and can help to find Corona suspect. It will use machine learning techniques for that. We used Edge Impulse Studio to train a dataset of coughing and background noise samples and build a highly optimized TInyML model, that can detect a Cough sound in real-time.

Hospital Sanitizing Robot

Hospital Sanitzing System - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

Sanitizing hospital rooms with human effort is not an easy task. It increases the chances of contracting infection, leading to further spread of harmful microorganisms. The UV sanitization robot uses the power of UV rays to kill germs and bacteria. The robot can also give a live video stream of its surroundings. With the help of WiFi, we can control the robot and its GUI allows us to drive the robot inside a hospital room without physically being there. All this enables us to sanitize the hospital room as per our requirements. By killing the germs, the UV light restricts their multiplication by destroying their reproductive system.

Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students: Mobile Jammer Circuit

Mobile Jammer Circuit - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

A Mobile Jammer Circuit or a Cell Phone Jammer Circuit is an instrument or device that can prevent the reception of signals by Mobile Phones. Basically, a Mobile Jammer Circuit is an RF Transmitter, which broadcasts Radio Signals in the same (or similar) frequency range of the GSM Communication.

WARNING: Blocking or Jamming Radio Signals is illegal in most countries. Check your local laws before using such devices.

In this project, there are two Mobile Jammer Circuits, where the first one is using a 555 Timer IC and the other one is built using active and passive components.

Women Safety Device with GPS Tracking and Alerts Using Arduino

Women Safety Device - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

With all the technology available to us in recent times, it’s not hard to build a safety device for women which will not only generate an emergency alarm but also send a message to your friends, family, or concerned person. Here we will build a band that can be worn by women, using which they can inform police or anyone, using SOS emergency SMS along with the current location. Using this information, the police will be able to save the victim from the location. For this, here we are using an Arduino which can be interfaced with GSM and GPS module for sending SMS alerts and getting the location coordinates.

Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students: Cheapest Digital Altimeter

Cheapest Digital Altimeter - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

The altimeter is one of the basic and most essential devices used in-flight systems, drones, space rockets, and submarines to measure the altitude of a location (known as altimetry for land and bathymetry if underwater). It is also one of the most popular devices for para diving and paragliding but most of them are very costly. Therefore, I have decided to make an DIY of the cheapest digital altimeter that can be effectively used for all these purposes. This Altimeter uses the Arduino and BMP280 sensors to get the altitude.

Object Finder Robot

Object Finder Robot - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

The Object Finder Robot uses OpenCV and computer vision along with a pre-trained model of TensorFlow running on the Raspberry Pi for detecting and classifying an object. In this robot, we have connected a servo motor that is mounted with a camera on top of it for capturing an overall continuous video of the surroundings. Using the TensorFlow module, it will try to detect the object.

Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students: Rain Detection System using Arduino and Rain Sensor

Rain Detection System - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

A simple Rain Detection System can be easily built by interfacing an Arduino with Rain Sensor. The sensor will detect any rainfall falling on it and the Arduino board will sense it and can perform required actions. A system like this can be used in many different fields, such as agriculture and automobile fields. Rainfall detection can be used to automatically regulate the Irrigation process. Also, continuous rainfall data can help farmers use this smart system to automatically water the crop only when absolutely required. Similarly, in the automobiles sector, windshield wipers can be made fully automatic by using the rain detection system.

Hand Gesture Controlled Robotic Arm using Arduino Nano

Hand Gesture Arm - Electronics Project Ideas for Engineering Students

Robotic Arms are one of the fascinating engineering creations and it is always fascinating to watch these things tilt and pan to get complex things done just like a human arm would. These robotic arms can be commonly found in industries at the assembly line performing intense mechanical work like welding, drilling, painting, etc., recently advanced robotic arms with high precision are also being developed to perform complex surgical operations. The Hand gesture controlled robotic ARM is build using Arduino Nano, MPU6050 Gyroscope and flex sensor.
