Computer Engineering Projects: Distorted Fingerprint Verification System

Due to the inimitability and persistence, human identification by fingerprints is considered most reliable. There are many challenges faced in the fingerprint recognition system as distorted fingerprints are of squat quality and contain fewer features. In this paper, spurious minutiae are removing using fuzzy rules. This computer engineering project paper introduces a novel method to detect a distortion using a fuzzy classifier and rectify it. Then, Enhanced fuzzy feature match (EFFM) is proposed to match fingerprints. The orientation field and minutiae are attribute vectors for the fuzzy classifier. The proposed method upgrades the performance and accuracy of fingerprint matching.

Traffic Pattern Based Content Leakage Detection for Trusted Content Delivery Networks

Due to the increasing popularity of multimedia streaming applications and services in recent years, the issue of trusted video delivery to prevent undesirable content-leakage has, indeed, become critical. While preserving user privacy, conventional systems have addressed this issue by proposing methods based on the observation of streamed traffic throughout the network. These conventional systems maintain a high detection accuracy while coping with some of the traffic variation in the network (e.g., network delay and packet loss), however, their detection performance substantially degrades owing to the significant variation of video lengths.In this paper, we focus on overcoming this issue by proposing a novel content-leakage detection scheme that is robust to the variation of the video length. We enhance the detection performance of the proposed scheme even in an environment subjected to variation in length of video.

A Time Efficient Approach for Detecting Errors in Big Sensor Data on Cloud

Big sensor data is prevalent in both industry and scientific research applications where the data is generated with high volume and velocity it is difficult to process using on-hand database management tools or traditional data processing applications. Cloud computing provides a promising platform to support the addressing of this challenge as it provides a flexible stack of massive computing, storage, and software services in a scalable manner at low cost. Some techniques have been developed in recent years for processing sensor data on cloud, such as sensor-cloud. However, these techniques do not provide efficient support on fast detection and locating of errors in big sensor data sets.

Data Leakage Detection

A data distributor has given sensitive data to a set of supposedly trusted agents (third parties). Some of the data is leaked and found in an unauthorized place (e.g., on the web or somebody’s laptop). The distributor must assess the likelihood that the leaked data came from one or more agents, as opposed to having been independently gathered by other means. We propose data allocation strategies (across the agents) that improve the probability of identifying leakages. These methods do not rely on alterations of the released data (e.g., watermarks). In some cases we can also inject “realistic but fake” data records to further improve our chances of detecting leakage and identifying the guilty party.
