Pay Scale
Candidates selected for the DPT Recruitment 2020 position will be eligible for the following pay scale:
- Engineering Graduates: Rs. 9,000 per month
- Diploma Engineers: Rs. 8,000 per month
- ITI Trade: Rs. 7,700 per month (those who have completed ITI course having a duration of 1 Year) and Rs. 8,050 per month (those who have completed ITI course having a duration of 2 Years)
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess following qualifications to be eligible for the DPT Recruitment process:
- Engineering Graduate: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology.
- Engineering Diploma: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology.

Selection Process
The selection methodology for DPT Recruitment 2020 process will comprise of following stages:-
- Final Selection List will be prepared on Merit Basis.
The merit will be prepared on the basis of ‘Sum of marks obtained in all semesters/years’ and ‘Sum of total (maximum) marks in all semesters/years’ [as declared by the candidate in the submitted application on DPT website – www.deendayalport.gov.in].

Deendayal Port Trust, which is also known as Kandla Port is a Seaport in Kutch District of Gujarat. It is one of the largest seaports in the country. In 2015-16 the port handled 106 million tonnes of cargo.
Depending on the educational qualification the monthly salary varies from Rs. 7,700 – Rs. 9,000.
Candidate must be an Indian National and completed their graduation or education in any recognized university.
– Candidates applying for any of the trades/disciplines mentioned above should not have undergone or should not be undergoing apprenticeship training in the past.
– Candidates who have already worked or are currently working in any Government / Public sector / Autonomous / Private organization are not eligible to apply.
To join DPT or Kandla Port Trust, the candidate must apply for their recruitment process, whenever released by DPT. Currently, 194 vacancies are released for apprentice trainee for 1 year.
The apprentice trainee recruitment doesn’t require any candidate to pay a fee to apply for the process.
